OTTAWA—More than 20 countries in the world have comprehensive digital plans, and Industry Canada is currently in the middle of consultations on what it calls a "digital economy strategy." On June 16, 2010, the Senate Transport and Communications Committee tabled its report, Plan for a Digital Canada.ca. The report is not an official Canadian digital plan, but it includes several recommendations that we feel are essential if Canada is to transform itself.
