
PARLIAMENT HILL—NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair on Tuesday shrugged off recent polls suggesting the Liberals would vault past the official opposition in voter support should MP Justin Trudeau win the party’s leadership election next April and said he will take on whoever wins the Grit race on a “substantive level” rather than using quick-hit slogans or catchy phrases to stay at the head of the opposition pack.
