Trudeau officially registers as Liberal leadership contender

Liberal MP Justin Trudeau registered as a candidate a day after former Liberal MP Martha Hall Findlay announced her candidacy at a news conference in Calgary.

PARLIAMENT HILL—Liberal leadership race contender Justin Trudeau is the first candidate to officially register for the contest as of Friday afternoon, with more expected to come as the party screens other nominations.
