Topp biggest fundraiser in NDP leadership campaign, but raises only $5,000 in Quebec

Former NDP president Brian Topp has raised $157,597, the most money so far in his bid for the NDP leadership, but the native Quebecer who has billed his roots in Quebec among his draws in a high-profile bid for the party’s leadership, also raised barely more than $5,000 from supporters in the province up to Jan. 1, according to party submissions to Elections Canada.
