Defence Minister MacKay's conflict of interest heats up in Senate debates

Defence Minister Peter MacKay was fined $200 for being in a conflict of interest recently with regard to a family-owned business of which he said he forgot to declare because he was not an active member of the board. The issue came up during Question Period in the Senate last Tuesday, when Nova Scotia Liberal Senator Terry Mercer asked when Mr. MacKay would tender his resignation because of the incident.
