Three Hill journalists nominated for Newsperson of the Year Award

The winner will be announced on Feb. 28 as part of the Canadian Journalism Foundation’s J-Talk to be held at the Exchange Tower in downtown Toronto.

The nominees for 2012’s Newsperson of the Year are Glen McGregor and Stephen Maher, Nalah Ayed, Jorge Barrera, David Skok and Rachel Pulfer who have “demonstrated excellence” and have had a positive impact on the quality of journalism in their community or across the country, says J-Source, the Canadian Journalism Foundation’s online resource website sponsoring the award.
