While political observers say the NDP-led filibuster of the government's legislation ordering Canada Post workers back to work last week served to consolidate the party's base, was a good team-building exercise and defined the NDP as an official opposition unafraid to flex its muscles, it could be used to portray the party as too close to labour, which may end up hurting it in the next election.
