Cabinet ministers, MPs feeling pinch of office budgets freeze

MPs' office budgets were frozen at 2009 levels and Cabinet ministers' offices were cut by $11.4-million last year.

More than halfway through the 2010 fiscal year, Cabinet ministers' and MPs' offices are feeling the pinch of having to freeze or chop budgets, which has led to cutbacks on staffing, travel, and other expenses.

More than halfway through the 2010 fiscal year, Cabinet ministers' and MPs' offices are feeling the pinch of having to freeze or chop budgets, which has led to cutbacks on staffing, travel, and other expenses.
