Canada's 'been in quite intimate contact' with Obama administration

Peter Kent says Canadian officials have been in close contact with the Obama transition team to discuss issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama may have different political ideologies, but the Harper Conservatives say they're confident both leaders will get along just fine, says Peter Kent, minister of state for Foreign Affairs for the Americas, who represented Canada at the new U.S. President's historic inauguration ceremony last week in Washington, D.C.
