Diane Ablonczy, first elected to Parliament in 1993, represents the riding of Calgary-Nose Hill, Alta., and is currently the Canadian Alliance's health critic. Unlike her main rivals Stockwell Day and Stephen Harper, she is open to forming a united party with the Tories.
