According to a Chinese proverb if you live in a madhouse, you must behave like a madman to survive. In this sense, the United States of America has essentially become the United Madhouse of America. The attempted assassination of Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords who backed U.S. President Barack Obama's healthcare reforms has demonstrated how the toxic right-wing rhetoric plaguing the nation's political discourse. It also underscores America's violent gun culture which is taking a heavy toll of lives.
