Re: "New cigarette label warnings irresponsible public policy," (The Hill Times, Letters to the editor, by Emile Therien, Jan. 10, p. 8). One has to wonder why the past president of the Canada Safety Council so clearly ignores scientific evidence and publicly promotes arguments based on conjecture.
