Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff during the Liberal convention in Vancouver went one step ahead towards addressing the democratic deficit in Canada by moving away from the delegated conventions in favour of the one-member-one-vote system for electing future leaders. This is a halfway House solution. He should move towards a full-fledged primary system to elect every Liberal MP, not just the leader.
