Question for party leaders on marijuana

Would it be possible for the party leaders to answer this question: Given that marijuana prohibition subsidizes organized crime and increases gun violence, why not regulate it like alcohol and use the $3-billion in annual tax revenue for healthcare, education, border-security, and law-enforcement? It worked with alcohol in the last century, and it would work even better with marijuana today.

Would it be possible for the party leaders to answer this question: Given that marijuana prohibition subsidizes organized crime and increases gun violence, why not regulate it like alcohol and use the $3-billion in annual tax revenue for healthcare, education, border-security, and law-enforcement? It worked with alcohol in the last century, and it would work even better with marijuana today.
