Globe and Mail national affairs columnist Jeffrey Simpson is a finalist for the prestigious Shaughnessy Cohen prize for political writing. His book, Chronic Condition: Why Canada’s Health-Care System Needs to be Dragged into the 21st Century, published by Allen Lane Canada, tackles health-care reform and is one of five books nominated for the $25,000 award which will be presented at the 13th annual Politics and the Pen gala in Ottawa.
