OTTAWA—Peter Mansbridge, host of the CBC programs The National, and, Mansbridge One on One, reckons he's done 10,000 to 15,000 interviews since he first got into the business at a small Manitoba radio station in 1969. Since then, he's interviewed every prime minister from Lester B. Pearson on, as well as a slew of luminaries from Beach Boy Brian Wilson, to U.S. President Barack Obama.
