Harper should take Obama's lead on more transparency
On U.S. President Barack Obama's first full day of work, he attended the swearing-in ceremony for his White House staff. He told them they were there as keepers of the public trust, that they should never forget that and said public service is a privilege. "It's not about advantaging yourself. It's not about advancing your friends or your corporate clients. It's not about advancing an ideological agenda or the special interests of any organization. Public service is simply and absolutely about advancing the interests of Americans," Mr. Obama said.
