PBO pushes battle for clear independence, Tory says Page 'crossed line'

Once touted a beacon of accountability, Tories are mostly silent on PBO Kevin Page's fight.

Canada's Parliamentary Budget Officer Kevin Page is asking for his mandate to be clarified and his office budget restored in what's becoming an increasingly louder turf war between two officers of Parliament, but the Conservative government is refusing to weigh in on the matter and one Conservative Senator say Mr. Page "has crossed the line" and "was over the top."
