Good Friday morning,

Conservative leader Andrew Scheer is venturing off to Canada’s most populous metropolitan region today for a high-profile address to the Mississauga Board of Trade.

Mr. Scheer is scheduled to provide remarks at a MBOT event hosted at the Courtyard Toronto Mississauga/West at 11:30 a.m.

It’s the first major public appearance for the Tory leader so far this year, and comes as his opposition Conservatives turn up the pressure on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the wake of a report from the ethics commissioner that ruled his vacation to the Aga Khan’s private island in 2016 contravened ethics rules.

Speaking of the prime minister, Mr. Trudeau remains in London, Ont. with his front bench colleagues on Friday for the last day of the annual winter cabinet retreat.

On Friday, Mr. Trudeau will attend a cabinet meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the London Convention Centre. He will stay at the downtown complex for a media availability at 2:15 p.m.

Have a great weekend!
