Will the Arctic Search and Rescue capability be reduced?

While many welcomed the Dec. 8, 2016, announcement of the selection of the Airbus C295 as the replacement Search and Rescue (SAR) fixed-wing aircraft to replace the fleet of Buffalo and C-130 Hercules aircraft tasked with SAR, other may not be so welcoming.
