British-born Canadian Conservative MPs use Brexit vote to push for referendum on electoral reform

Tony Clement says that if the British are given the chance to decide whether to leave or stay within the European Union in a referendum, 'it’s not so much to ask Mr. Trudeau to allow a referendum to decide on the future of how we elect our MPs.'

Conservative MP Tony Clement, right, says the U.K. referendum on leaving the EU was an 'act of democracy,' while caucus colleague Peter Kent felt outside politicians, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, crossed the line in publicly declaring their support for the 'remain' side in the referendum.
