The House Committee for Procedure and House Affairs heard from David Prest, longtime Conservative staffer and father of six, and Clare Beckton, executive director of the Centre for Women in Politics and Public Leadership at Carleton University, on May 5 as part of its study on making Parliament more family friendly.
