For the past eight years, one the country’s largest financial institutions, RBC, has conducted the annual Canadian Water Attitudes Survey as part of its Blue Water Project. When asked to choose from among a list of important natural resources—from forests to minerals to oil and gas—respondents resoundingly rank fresh water as Canada’s most critical. This comes as little surprise. Canadians clearly recognize that clean, safe water is absolutely fundamental to a healthy environment, vibrant communities and a thriving economy.
