Conservatives’ ‘ordered liberty’ will transform Canada for the worse

Stephen Harper’s goal was never simply to reduce the mere size of the federal government. Rather, he wanted to neuter it—to make an activist Ottawa less legitimate in the eyes of Canadians. For progressives, it is this that should be viewed as the real threat.
