PM Trudeau does not plan to fill government Senate leader, whip roles

Instead, the Senate Internal Economy Committee would approve a budget of up to $584,300 for the leader of the Senate Liberal caucus, the same amount as the budget of the Senate leader of the opposition and nearly $300,000 less than the office budget that would normally be available to a recognized Leader of the government in the Senate.
