A clear majority of Canadians rate former finance minister Jim Flaherty as either a good finance minister or one of Canada’s best, some even saying they believe he was the best finance minister, a new poll has found.

Jim Flaherty resigned as finance minister on March 17. A Forum Research poll indicated that 58 per cent of respondents gave Mr. Flaherty high marks in his role. Twenty seven per cent said they thought he was a good finance minister, while 22 per cent said they though he was one of Canada’s best and nine per cent said he was Canada’s best finance minister.
